On 26 April, 2018 the first stakeholder meeting from the regional project that aims to increase the opportunities for youth employment in Western Balkan – Web4YES. This project co-financed from the European Union, gathered representatives from different institutions who are working every day to increase the opportunities for youth employment.
The aim of this meeting was to discuss about possibility to create a national forum which would operate in an organized way in order to strengthen our capacities towards common goals.
Meeting started with a presentation of the regional project. In this regard LENS presented the 3 years plan of the project, where stakeholders had the opportunity to know the project and to see the possibilities for future cooperation.
During this presentation we presented also the regional platform that would serve as an aggregator of the all existing platforms that offer employment or job matching services. This platform will serve for all the people who want to expand their dimension of working also regionally.
After LENS presentation, the representative from the Employment Agency of Republic of Kosovo and representative from the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, presented their 3 years strategy related to youth employment and the difficulties of its implementation considering some limitation in human and capital resources.
In this meeting we also discussed about the participation in the first regional forum within the project framework, which will be held in Skopje in mind June. According to the main topics that will be discussed in the forum, we agreed upon the representatives from Kosovo institutions.
In the end, we agreed to continue with our communication and collaboration until we achieve to create a formal national forum for employability boosting.
