On 7th & 8th of June from 9:00 AM, will start the International Conference” Towards common agenda on Digital rights” that will happen in Sheshi 21, in Pristina. This activity will be realized as part of the project “Defending Human Rights in Digital Age”, implemented by LENS & KCIC, an EU funded Project managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo and co-financed by the Friderich Ebert Stiftung Office in Pristina.
The two day event will have speakers from international & national organizations and other relevant actors. In this conference will be discussed for the implications of state and private actors on human rights made possible by the technological progress in the digital age through tracking of subjects online, the digital data processing, and the relationships established through social media.
Here you can meet some of the key speakers that will talk during the conference regarding to the topic of the event.
1. Edin Omanovic. He will represent the Privacy International organization based in London.
Privacy International is committed for the right to privacy across the world. Privacy International advocates for strong national, regional, and international laws that protect privacy; conducts research to catalyse policy change; and raises awareness about technologies and laws that place privacy at risk to ensure that the public is informed and engaged.

2. Miranda Kajtazi. She will represent the Lund University School of Economic and Management The Department of informatics of this university strives to become a leading institution in the field of information technology and as a research center.

3. Antoin O Lachtnain will be the next speaker of the conference and he will share his experience on digital rights. He is from Ireland and will present the work of Digital Rights Ireland, an organization that is committed to protect the fundamental rights to privacy through court action at national and European level and through public activism. Digital Rights Ireland advocates to keep the Internet open for free speech and free from well-intentioned but problematic blocking schemes, as well is engaged for changes in copyright and intellectual property laws to meet the needs of the Internet age.

4. Carl Miller from the charity organization Demos based in UK. 5. Big Brother Watch will be represented by Dan Nesbitt and he will talk about data breaches and how to exercise our rights.

The organization based in London campaigns on behalf of the individual to ensure your privacy and civil liberties are maintained in the digital age by government, public authorities and business.

6. Valentina Hvale Pellizer from the virtual Platform One World, another speaker during the Conference.
One World platform is a virtual space that uses internet as connection tool for sharing the information’s. The platform focuses in three areas: the rights on internet; women’s rights; and transformation Technologies. During the Conference, Valentina will share her knowledge of interruptions to digital rights and women’s rights.

7. Speaker in the International Conference “Toward common agendas on Digital Rights” will be Arife Muji from Kosovo Center for Security Studies organization.
Kosovar Centre for Security Studies is an independent policy research based in Pristina – Kosovo. KCSS is dedicated to security sector development and reform in Kosovo and Western Balkans. It proactively promotes principle of good governance, integrity and resilience.

8. Elena Cibuku. She is responsible for administration, management, defending of the internal network and developing of different online projects based in CMS platforms. She will speak to the Conference on 7th & 8th of July.
Elena works for Pro Code Developers a company based in Albania that focuses on developing digital projects like web pages and applications.
